Mr and Mrs W- 2 Bathrooms and a Grand Ensuite
Mr and Mrs H W originally contacted us to undertake two bathrooms which led to a further request to supply and fit their Grand Ensuite bathroom.
Following the installation of a downstairs bathroom and a guest bathroom, a further home survey and design consultation took place involving both Matthew and Jason.
This was an extraordinarily large ensuite off the master bedroom where the design plan would consist of removing the existing bathroom suite and redesigning a separate toilet room, dressing room, and in the main area a “his and hers” basin, bespoke designed walk in drench digitally operated shower, all with underfloor heating and a doubled ended bath.
Following a meeting at their home and a consultation at the showroom to discuss colours and furniture options, the couple settled on dramatic and bold Mereway Java Wenge furniture coupled with the Classic Collection porcelain natural plain and décor effect tiles on the walls and floors. As the size of the room was so large, (84m sq of tiling), a dark feature wall (Gemini tiles) was incorporated to create a striking view point to look upon at the end of the room. The dark tiles were also run around the bottom of the room to provide interest.
The size of the bathroom and the meticulous planning that went into the underfloor heating ribbons, tiling, bespoke wetroom tray and plumbing was one of our more challenging projects which took a total of 5 weeks to complete from removal of the old suite- all completed in house by the Airey and Guy team. The granite worktops were obtained from a local fabricator and were installed by Airey and Guy once prepared.
